Soybean planting in Brazil’s Paraná advances to 80% of surface

The soybean planting in the Brazilian state of Paraná reached 80% of the projected surface of 13.4 million acres. A production volume of 19.5 million metric tons is expected to be harvested in the state in this season.

For corn, the government projects a production of 3.06 million metric tons in the summer, which is 38% lower than the volume harvested last year. Planting of the cereal as of this week reached 99% of the area.
